About 

Dr. Meredith Rocchi is a bilingual Assistant Professor in the Department of Communications at the University of Ottawa. Meredith's independent program of research merges expertise in communications, psychology, education, and innovative statistical methods to advance our understanding of effective interpersonal communication behaviour. Meredith is the co-founder of the University of Ottawa Data Lit Lab which aims to promote and improve data literacy education, reduce statistical anxiety, and improve data communication through communication training and interventions. Meredith holds extensive training and expertise in advanced quantitative analyses and is passionate about teaching these methods to others. Meredith has over ten years of teaching experience in quantitative methods and statistics courses, for which she has received teaching excellence awards and outstanding student evaluations. She has committed to integrating creative pedagogical approaches such as YouTube statistics tutorials and real-life data to help students master data analysis. Beyond the classroom, Meredith has had the privilege of supervising honours and graduate students in English and French in all aspects of their research, from study design to publication.

Coaching

Meredith has fifteen years of Skate Canada coaching experience which has provided her with additional opportunities to further develop her teaching and supervision skills, as well as apply her research in interpersonal communication in practice. Through coaching a variety of skating skill levels, Meredith has perfected the ability to adapt her teaching to the needs of the learner.
